What Are The Symptoms Of ADHD?

Symptoms of ADHD may include inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with your daily functioning. You may have difficulty focusing on tasks, organizing activities, following instructions, and controlling impulses. These symptoms can affect your academic, professional, and social aspects of life, requiring effective management strategies.
ADHD is caused by a combination of genetic, biological, and environmental factors. It often runs in families, indicating a genetic predisposition. Brain structure abnormalities and imbalances in neurotransmitters also contribute to the condition. Environmental factors, such as prenatal exposure to toxins or early life adversity, can influence the development of ADHD in your case.
Treatment options for your ADHD may include psychotherapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can help you develop organizational skills and improve attention and impulse control. Medications, such as stimulants and non-stimulants, are also commonly used to manage your symptoms. Behavioral interventions and educational support can enhance the effectiveness of your treatment.
Therapy, particularly CBT, is effective in helping you manage ADHD. It can help you develop skills to improve focus, organization, and impulse control.
