About Emma
Emma Thomas, LMSW, is a primary therapist at Cornerstone Healing Center in Phoenix, where she combines professional expertise with a deep personal passion for helping others heal. Her journey into the field of therapy was inspired by her brother’s long struggle with addiction, which gave her a profound understanding that addiction is truly a family disease—impacting not only the individual but everyone who loves them. Emma’s personal connection to recovery fuels her dedication to walking alongside clients as they navigate addiction, trauma, and life’s toughest challenges.
Emma earned her Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University, where she built a strong foundation in trauma-informed, client-centered care. Her therapeutic approach is strengths-based and collaborative, integrating a wide range of evidence-based modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Crisis Intervention. She is passionate about helping clients find resilience, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Outside of therapy, Emma enjoys hiking, exploring new places, and hosting game nights with friends. She’s also an avid hockey fan and never misses a chance to cheer on her favorite team. Whether you’re seeking support for addiction, trauma, anxiety, or major life transitions, Emma is here to guide you with compassion, curiosity, and an unwavering belief in your ability to heal and grow.
